Shrimp Network EzyTrace is a traceability service by "call center" to collect, record, and control farm's document according to out steps of work and protocol to make sure that products form farm are traceable. Our steps of work and protocol are easy. The farm is just keeping record their farm management data in our "EzyTrace Booklet", and keeping document following our filing index and numbering system.      Shrimp Network EzyTrace is a good option for shrimp farms (from breeders to raisers) who want to raise the standard of their business and publicize their farm among buyers so they can get better sales contracts. There is no need to invest in a computer system, no need to hire IT workers, and no need to buy software. The farmer will also not have to deal with all the little problems involved with the maintenance of the computer system and hiring of IT staff. It is easy to begin using "ShrimpNetwork EzyTrace". The farmer firstly needs to apply for membership and fill out the basic information needed to set up the webpage, and then start recording the traceability data. After that the farm will have to buy Trace ID and activate the purchased Trace ID to be bounded to a crop production pond by calling to our "Call Center". This Trace ID is called "EzyTrace package".

     Shrimp Network EzyTrace is a service to collect and manage farm's traceability data for each movement documents so the processing plant will have access to traceable data in the form of a comprehensive IT system that can be linked to the processing plant's internal IT system. The processing plant can then provide the required data to customers at any time. Shrimp Network also provides the tools to monitor and follow up the progress of shrimp contract farms. The electronic database makes it easier for processing plants to choose and make a contact to our member's farms. We provides the following management services

      When people view shrimp farms information on the website, they may have questions about the accuracy of the information and need a qualified person to check if each farm really follows the standards as specified or not.
      It is normal to said that "ShrimpNetwork members want to make sure that the system is working correctly and the farm information is correct and the visitors who access the information want to make sure it is accurate and updated". For these reasons it is necessary to have a system for auditing the data to make sure that farmers actually follow the standard practices they have stated and that the information they report is correct. A third party should inspect and evaluate the information.

Farm Inspection

      There are two types of farm inspections. First is the compliance of farm's practices to a standard, and inspections to prove the farm features. The second is the consistent and validity of the data recorded as traceability data. The farm production process may be inspected by an accredited certify person or by ShrimpNetwork. The farm features may only be inspected by ShrimpNetwork or by ShrimpNetwork authorized person. Each features have its own checklist integrated all International Standards for Shrimp.
      The inspectors will give a pass or fail on each checklist. Accumulated pass of total checklist in its features will report as stars. Each star represents 20% of pass item in each feature total checklist item. The maximum of 5 stars then represent 100% pass items.

      After performing the audits the auditors will submit the report to ShrimpNetwork within two weeks, the report will be put up on the website and ready for download.
      The Inspection report of the farms and its score as stars on the farm's web page is based on what observed on the day of the inspection and is benefited to the people who using this information as a guideline to select the contract farm. ShrimpNetwork does not certify or guarantee the quality of the farm's produce. ShrimpNetwork will not be held responsible if the results of an inspection or audit are used for any other purpose besides verifying the information shown on the website.
     
     

 

Traceability Data Auditing

      The data recorded in the ShrimpNetwork system comes from data sent in by fax, telephone, internet or other modes of communication concerning the farms' progress in raising each batch of shrimp, production factors, and test results and inspections collected by ShrimpNetwork. The company will make random tests of critical information such as traceability data by asking the farms to provide copies of some (but not all) of their documentation from time to time according to the company's regulations. In addition, the company will from time to time perform random on-site inspections of the farms (according to the company's regulations) in order to make users of the website more confident in the validity of the data. However, ShimpNetwork does not guarantee that there are no errors in the data so all users must exercise discretion in using it.
      Besides its usual double-checking of data and random tests, ShrimpNetwork can perform additional inspections of previously recorded data at the request of a website user who is a part of the supply chain, provided the user pays for the service.
